RIVERMOUTH ABLUTION BLOCKS TO BE REPAIRED

Following recent concerns on social media, Knysna Municipality has given assurances that the seriously vandalised toilet block at the very popular Rivermouth Beach will indeed be repaired soon. All going well, they should be operational and better protected in time for the December season.
Says spokesperson Christopher Bezuidenhoudt
“A service provider has been appointed to clean and maintain all the public ablutions during the season. Unfortunately, due to constant vandalism and increased maintenance cost, the municipality was forced to close the Sedgefield facilities until this work could be completed. We are now in the process of procuring security doors and burglar bars. The appointed contractor will be in a position to install the security gates on Wednesday where-after the plumbing repairs can start."

"The activities of vandals usually affect those closest to them. Report incidents of vandalism to public amenities by contacting 044 302 6405."
