Sedgefield SRA AGM TONIGHT!!!!
After nearly 20 years of negotiations, disappointments and false starts, there is finally real steam in the boiler again.
The Outeniqua Choo Tjoe – the Garden Route’s iconic steam train and one of South Africa’s most loved rail journeys – is set to run again in 2026.
As part of the Sedgefield Ratepayers Association AGM, you are invited to come and hear it from the horse’s mouth.
Alan McVitty, CEO of Classic Rail and the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, will address the meeting and share first-hand insight into the reopening of this much-loved rail journey and what it means for Sedgefield.![]()

KNYSNA POLICE SEARCH FOR MISSING PLETTENBERG BAY MAN![]()
Knysna Detectives are seeking the assistance of the public in the search for Farrol Ritzenberg (46) from Essenhout Street, New Horizons in Plettenberg Bay who was reported missing on Thursday, 22 January 2026.![]()
Reports available indicates that the man was with family in the parking area at the Knysna Mall after they visited a medical facility. They left him in the vehicle and upon their return he was gone. A search for him in the surrounding ensued without success. He was dressed in a red top, black jeans and blue Crocs at the time of his disappearance.![]()
The investigation officer, Warrant Officer Mario Uithaler, urges the public to come forward with any information which could assist police with the search for the man. Anyone with information may contact the investigation officer at 044 302 6652 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111.
