𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗣𝗔𝗟 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘: 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗪𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥| 𝟯 - 𝟰 𝗝𝗨𝗡𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿:* Teams have been deployed to review known hotspots.* Casual workers have been clearing open drain systems over the past two weeks.* Contractors are on-site to clear major canals. Works on Vigilance drive have been completed.* Contractors are cleaning manholes.* Teams have been redirected to remove debris to prevent re-blocking before further cleaning.* Sandbags have been purchased and are being filled for deployment to areas most affected by the previous storm.* Gravel road maintenance is ongoing on the worst-affected roads.𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗜𝗛𝗦):* An order has been placed for 100 roof packs and 40 full wendy house units.* To date, 37 roof packs have been received; 15 wendy houses will be delivered today.* The supplier will continue daily deliveries from today.𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀:* Continuous monitoring of hotspot areas is ongoing.* The system is operational in all areas.* Standby fittings have been ordered.* Generator in Sedgefield is operational.𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆:* Brackenhill remains without power (Eskom supply area).* Estimated time of repair: 25 June 2026.* Vandalism on the network remains a challenge. The municipality is not authorized to work on the Eskom network and continues to engage with Eskom regarding repairs.𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀:* Some food parcels, mattresses, and blankets are available.
